"It is our responsibility to continue to look again, to research, to better understand the lives lived in connection to places and objects, and ask who is remembered and who is forgotten and to understand the power behind those choices."

Rachael Lennon, Queer Heritage and Collections Network

Our Team

Our team is formed of experienced heritage freelancers, overseen by a Steering Group formed of the Founding Partners, with overall support provided by Art Fund and National Heritage Lottery Fund.

Our Work

The Queer Heritage and Collections Network (QHCN) is a Subject Specialist Network. We support galleries, libraries, archives and museums to develop public programming that brings LGBTQ+ histories to the fore.

Our Goals

We address the needs of the heritage sector in relation to LGBTQ+ histories by providing peer support, delivering training workshops, and helping members to share their research within the sector and the wider public.
